Laadli Media Awards 2024: Honoring Stories of Change

At the 14th Laadli Media & Advertising Awards for Gender Sensitivity 2024, 74 journalists from all over India were recognized for their important work in gender-sensitive reporting. These awards highlight stories that promote gender equality and celebrate the role of media in making a difference.

In addition to the main awards, 37 Jury Appreciation Citations were also given to honor more journalists for their excellent contributions. The event was a great way to acknowledge the efforts of those who write about issues affecting women and gender equality in society.

DNN24 was proud to receive a Jury Appreciation Citation for our story titled "We The Change: Battling Menstruation Taboos in India." This story focused on the challenges and taboos surrounding menstrual hygiene, aiming to raise awareness and encourage open discussions.

The Laadli Media Awards 2024 not only celebrated the winners but also inspired many others to write about important social issues. By sharing these stories, journalists play a key role in changing mindsets and promoting a more equal society for everyone.
